Each piece is carefully examined before being listed for sale by our experienced in-house team. Our authentication process is multi-step and based on years of expertise in the luxury second-hand market. During our inspection, we thoroughly assess, among other factors:
- stitching and craftsmanship
- materials and leather quality
- hardware and engravings
- odor and overall condition
- embossing, serial numbers, date codes, and other brand-specific identifiers
Whenever necessary, we also consult external authentication specialists such as ProAuthenticators or LegitGrails to further support our assessment.
Complimentary Certificate of Authenticity
Every purchase automatically includes a free Certificate of Authenticity issued by I Love Handbags.
This certificate confirms that your item has successfully passed our internal authentication process and is guaranteed to be authentic.
Optional: Entrupy Certificate (AI-Based Authentication)
As part of our internal authentication process, we regularly use Entrupy as an additional verification tool.
In addition, you may choose to receive a personal Entrupy certificate for your purchased item. This optional certificate serves as an independent, external document for your records and can be especially valuable if you plan to resell the item in the future.
Entrupy is an AI-powered authentication system that analyzes microscopic details of luxury items using a high-resolution proprietary lens. These details are compared against an extensive database of verified authentic reference data. The authentication result is documented and issued as an official digital certificate.
If an Entrupy certificate is issued, the item is covered by Entrupy’s Financial Authenticity Guarantee.
The optional Entrupy certificate can be added during checkout for €29 on selected handbags and small leather goods.

Our Promise to You
We guarantee that every designer piece we sell is authentic. If you have any doubts about the authenticity of your handbag or accessory, you can contact us within 30 days of your purchase. In the rare case that an item is not authentic, we will refund the purchase price in full.
*The Authenticity Guarantee applies exclusively to branded products. Replacement items from I LOVE HANDBAGS (e.g. shoulder straps and chains or accessories such as organizers that are not original from the manufacturer) are clearly labeled as such and are not covered by this guarantee.
